OBJECTIVES
To provide overall leadership and advocacy to HIV prevention services including Bio-medical and Behavioral interventions.
FUNCTIONS
- To assess, manage, coordinate, supervise, monitor and evaluate the implementation of HIV Prevention interventions.
- To develop advocacy strategies for HIV Prevention.
- To develop HIV/AIDS Policy guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HIV Prevention Interventions.
- To coordinate all Implementing Partners under each HIV Prevention intervention in line with Regional and Council Comprehensive Health Plans in the areas that they work (R/CCHP)
- To collaborate with other Sectors in the implementation of Gender related HIV interventions.
- To provide technical support on HIV Prevention services in Regions and Councils.
- To carry out HIV combination prevention campaigns.
Biomedical Section
- To assess and manage HIV Interventions that includes HIV Testing, Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC), Early Infancy Male Circumcision, STI /RT, Key and Vulnerable Populations.
- To coordinate the implementation of HIV Interventions that includes HIV Testing, Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC), Early Infancy Male Circumcision, STI /RT, Key and Vulnerable Populations.
- To supervise, monitor and evaluate the implementation of HIV Interventions that includes HIV Testing, Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC), Early Infancy Male Circumcision, STI /RT, Key and Vulnerable Populations.
- To develop HIV/AIDS Policy guidelines and SOPs for HIV biomedical Interventions.
- To coordinate all Implementing Partners under HIV Biomedical intervention in line with Regional and Council Comprehensive Health Plans (R/CCHP)
- To provide technical support on Biomedical services in Regions and Councils.
Behavioral Section
- Â To assess and manage HIV behavioral Interventions that includes IEC/SBCC, condom programming, gender, Adolescents Reproductive Health (ARH).
- To coordinate the implementation of HIV Interventions that includes IEC/SBCC, condom programming, gender, Adolescents Reproductive Health (ARH).
- To supervise, monitor and evaluate the implementation of HIV Interventions that IEC/SBCC, condom programming, gender, Adolescents Reproductive Health (ARH).
- To coordinate dissemination of policy guidelines and tools on IEC/SBCC, condom programming, gender, Adolescents Reproductive Health (ARH) for HIV National Response
- To carry out HIV advocacy and behavior change campaigns;
- To develop HIV/AIDS Policy guidelines, SOPs and advocacy strategies for HIV behavioral Interventions.
- To coordinate all Implementing Partners under HIV behavioral intervention in line with Regional and Council Comprehensive Health Plans (R/CCHP)
- To provide technical support on behavioral services including advocacy to HIV stakeholders.
- To develop HIV messages data bank and manage HIV information and documentation.
